    When summer comes around, we are always looking for new, refreshing drink ideas. Iced tea is always a go to beverage since it is cold, easy to make and can be made in so many different ways.

    This mango iced tea is especially delicious as it is made with fresh mango juice. You will be shocked and surprised by how amazing mango juice mixed into tea can be!

    Homemade Refreshing Iced Tea Recipe

    To make mango juice is very easy. All you need to do is puree ripe mangos then strain the pulp. Be sure to choose the ripest mangos you can find as they will have the most flavor and natural sweetness. You can tell when a mango is ripe by giving it a slight squeeze.

    A ripe mango will give a little under your fingertips. Ripe mangos will also smell fragrant and fruit even before you peel away the skin. These are the mangos you want to use!

    Once the mango juice is made, you can mix in your favorite brewed black tea. Use regular tea or decaf depending on your preference. A little honey and a few fresh raspberries complete the drink and make it picture-worthy.

    Ingredients

    • 6 cups water

    • 6 black tea bags

    • 3 ripe mangos

    • ¼ cup honey

    • 2 cups fresh raspberries

    • Fresh mint for garnishes

    Directions

    • Peel and remove the pit from the mangoes. Place the flesh from two of the mangos into a blender and reserve the last mango for the garnish.
    • Blend the mango until very smooth and then pour through a strainer. Discard the pulp and pour the fresh mango juice into a pitcher.
    • Bring the water to a boil and then pour the boiling water over the tea bags. Let the tea steep for about 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and discard.
    • Pour the brewed tea into the pitcher with the mango juice.
    • Stir in the honey.
    • Place the pitcher of tea in the fridge to chill.
    • When you are ready to enjoy the iced tea, fill your glasses with ice and pour the mango tea over the ice. Garnish with the fresh raspberries, extra mango slices and fresh mint sprigs. Enjoy!

    • • If your mangos are not quite ripe, add a little extra honey to give the iced tea a sweeter flavor.
    • • Blend the raspberries with the mango and strain. This will make a lovely raspberry mango iced tea.
