Lassi’s originate from India where they can be sweet drink or salty drinks. To qualify as a lassi, a drink needs to have yogurt and a spice- that is it! So, clearly, there are hundreds of different ways to make a lassi. A mango lassi happens to be one of the most popular forms of the drink and our favorite as well.
All you need to make a classic mango lassi is some ripe mango, yogurt and milk. Those three ingredients can be the whole drink. However, we like to make our lassi a little sweeter by adding agave nectar. We also love the idea that lassi’s always have a spice so we added cardamom. Cardamom is a perfect spice to pair with mango as it is a little fruity, a little minty and a tiny bit spicy. It is a unique and amazing spice that really brings this drink to life.
