Refreshing Mamaki-Tea with smooth taste

Ingredients

  • 5 mamaki tea leaves

  • 1 cup boiling water

  • 1 teaspoon honey

Directions

  • Place the tea leaves in a tea strainer or fillable paper tea bag. Place the tea strainer in a mug or tea cup.
  • Fill the tea cup with the boiling water. Let the tea steep for about 5 minutes.
  • Remove the tea strainer or bag and discard.
  • Stir in the honey and enjoy.

Tips and Tricks

  • • You can use dried or fresh tea leaves. When using dried leaves, increase the quantity to 6 leaves to make the tea powerful.
    • Honey is optional. You do not need to add a sweetener to the tea but it does help bring out the flavor of the tea.
