Lavender is an aromatic shrub that grows beautiful, edible, purple flowers. It is actually part of the mint family. It has been used to flavor perfumes and to make medicine for centuries. It is also a popular herb, adding a nice floral flavor to foods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lavender is most often sold dried. It is easy to preserve by simply drying out the flowers and saving them in an airtight container. They will smell and taste fragrant for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
