We are pretty sure everyone loves frozen margaritas. They are a grown up version of a lime slushy. A good frozen margarita is very hard to resist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Too many frozen margaritas<\/a> may not be such a great idea. You know they have alcohol despite the fact that they taste like a yummy, tropical smoothie<\/a>. We decided to create a virgin frozen margarita so that you can enjoy the delicious drink without worrying about drinking too much tequila. Our frozen margarita recipe is perfectly crafted to taste like the original cocktail while actually being completely alcohol free!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

History of the Margarita<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Margaritas have been around for ages. They are one of those classic cocktails that everyone knows and loves. Like any super popular cocktail, more than one origin story exists. The most popular story of the margarita is one about a man named Carlos Herrera who owned a bar in restaurant in Tijuana Mexico. Legend says that Herrera created a cocktail for a famous local actress who was allergic to all alcohol except tequila. Herrera added some salt, lime juice and ice to make tequila more delicious for the actress. This was the beginning of the margarita!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Margaritas traditionally revolve around tequila. Of course, our virgin margarita<\/a> has to have no tequila at all. That is totally okay though because margaritas also have other delicious flavors mixed into the drink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Margaritas are typically lime flavored. They occasionally have a splash of orange as well. Margaritas can be made sweet by using a sugar rim or the glass can be rimmed in salt to add a new layer of flavor. Here is what we put into the blender to make our non alcoholic frozen margaritas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
