Summer sunrise drink is just as tasty as it is gorgeous

You may be familiar with the cocktail called the tequila sunrise. Our summer sunrise drink is a spin off on this classic drink but, of course, we make ours with no alcohol. It is so delicious and refreshing that you definitely do not need alcohol to enjoy every sip!
HOW TO MAKE A SUMMER SUNRISE MOCKTAIL
To make a summer sunrise mocktail, all you need is fresh orange juice, grenadine syrup and ice. Pour the juice in a glass and top with the grenadine syrup. The bright red color of the syrup will blend into the orange juice and make a picture perfect, sunrise inspired drink.
The key to making a sunrise drink is to slowly pour the grenadine into the juice. Making the grenadine rise to the top gives the drink that beautiful, ombre color. Once you master the pour, this mocktail recipe is very easy!
INGREDIENTS IN A SUMMER SUNRISE AND SUMMER SUNSET
You only need a few key ingredients to make a fantastic summer sunrise or summer sunset mocktail. Here are the ingredient we use in our easy mocktail recipe:
· Orange Juice- The tangy, tart orange juice tastes amazing when paired with this sweet fruity syrup.
· Grenadine- Grenadine is actually a super sweet, pomegranate syrup that adds a lot of sugary taste to the drink.
· Orange slices- The perfect garnish to highlight the flavors of the drink
· Ice- Our virgin sunrise is best when served chilled
There are a few twists you can add to the drink. Try using pineapple juice instead of orange juice for a lighter sunset. A pineapple infusion also tastes delicious with grenadine syrup.
Add a splash of Tevana passion tango tea to make our sunrise drink similar to the Starbucks sunrise drink from the Starbucks secret menu. We do love all those alcohol free Starbucks drinks! This recipe will always be exciting, delicious and easy to tweak!
Not only will adults love this drink but kids will as well! Who wouldn’t love a sunrise in a glass? Enjoy!
YOU ASKED, WE’RE ANSWERING
Here are a few of the most frequently asked questions that we receive about our summer sunrise mocktail. Hopefully, the answers will help you mix up a delicious drink!
What’s the difference between a tequila sunrise and a tequila sunset?
A tequila sunrise and sunset actually have the same ingredients. A tequila sunset has a splash of soda and grenadine at the top of the drink rather than the red at the bottom. Of course, we skip the tequila all together and focus on the ‘sunrise’ part of the drink!
How do you order a sunrise drink at Starbucks?
Ordering off the Starbucks secret menu can be tricky. Master your order and you will be rewarded with delicious drinks! To order a sunrise drink, ask for a mango dragon fruit lemonade without berries. Top the drink with passion tea and also peach tea. Have the drink served over ice so the beautiful colors shine through.
What are good summer drinks at Starbucks?
Starbucks has some great summer drinks. The strawberry funnel cake Frappuccino, iced pineapple matcha drink, and iced cinnamon dolce latte are some of our favorites. Of course, you don’t need to go to Starbucks to get great summer drinks. This summer sunrise drink recipe is perfect!
