We make our strawberry acai drink with acai powder. Acai is a deep purple berry native to warm climates. The berries are picked at peak ripeness. Then they are frozen to sell. The berries can also be dried and ground into a powder.

Acai berries are healthy in many ways. They can help improve cholesterol levels. The nutrients in the berries can help fight cancer cells. They may also prevent cancer cells from spreading.

Acai can even boost brain function and improve memory. They can also help your skin glow! Acai is such a powerful little berry. It is a food you surely want to add to your diet.

We use powdered acai for this acai berry drink. It blends and dissolves into the syrup easily. All those nutrients are mixed right into every sip! 

There are a few ways to tweak this tasty refresher recipe. Try swapping the fresh sliced berries with frozen berries. Freeze dried strawberries will work too. A scoop of strawberry powder is great to make the strawberry acai base even stronger.

Mix some passion fruit juice in for a tropical drink. A splash of coconut milk would taste great as well. Some green coffee bean powder will add a little caffeine. A new, exciting twist is always fun!

Prep time



Fresh, delicious and healthy- everything you want in a summer drink!


  • 2 cups fresh sliced strawberries

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 4 cups water

  • 1 Tbsp acai powder

  • 1 cup white grape juice

  • ice


  • Place the strawberries, sugar, two cups water and acai powder in a sauce pan and stir. Bring to a boil over medium high heat.
  • Lower the heat and let the mix simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Pour the strawberry syrup through a strainer, pushing on the fruit with the back of a spoon to help release all of the juice (and flavor) from the berries.
  • Set the syrup aside to cool.
  • Pour the strawberry syrup in a large pitcher then add the remaining 2 cups of water and grape juice.
  • Pour the refresher over ice and enjoy cold!

  • • You can make the strawberry syrup in advance and freeze it in an ice cube tray. Anytime you want a strawberry acai refresher, pop a few frozen cubes in a glass and top with water for an instant drink!
    • Place the hot strawberry syrup in the fridge to cool it faster.
