Hot toddy’s have long been known for their cold-curing powers. The warm tea, the blend of spices, the honey and the fresh lemon juice are all helpful when you have a sore throat or common cold. Typically, hot toddy’s are made with whiskey, adding even more power to the drink. However, you don’t need alcoholic to make a delicious (and effective) hot toddy! Our non-alcoholic version is fantastic.

You can make this delicious hot drink with any kind of tea that you would like. It’s really up to you! Keep the flavors of the spices in mind when you choose your tea. Black tea works well as it has a neutral flavor while an herbal tea may conflict with the spice blend in our recipe. Give a few different kinds of tea a try to see what you like best

“you don’t need alcoholic to make a delicious hot toddy!”

Fresh lemon juice is always the best option. It has the most flavor and also the most health benefits. Lemons are a great source of vitamin C which has long been touted as cold-fighting ingredient. Lemons also help improve digestive health and reduce inflammation. These are great features for anyone fighting a cold!

Of course, you can enjoy a non alcoholic hot toddy any time the mood hits. You don’t have to wait until you are sick- they are delicious anytime!
