And we know why- they are healthy, tasty and look pretty cool in a big glass. However, a lot of green smoothies are the same. They are usually made with kale, spinach, avocado or some kind of mystery green protein powder. We wanted to make a new, more refreshing green smoothie that will get all you green smoothie lovers excited again!

Our green smoothie is made with honeydew, cucumber, mint and lime juice. All green ingredients, all taste fantastic when mixed together. Doesn’t this mix just sound refreshing!? We sure think so!

Rather than mix the smoothie with whole milk or almond milk, we chose to go a more tropical route, using coconut water as the base of the smoothie. Coconut water really makes this drink taste even more like summer and will actually help hydrate you as you drink. We also used a little canned coconut milk to make the smoothie creamy and sweet. It is the perfect blend!

Toss all of the fresh ingredient into a blender and puree! That is all you need to do to make a delicious nonalcoholic summer drink. Be sure to blend the ingredients in your blender until they are perfectly smooth. Even in a high powdered blender, this can take a minute or two. You really want everything to be pureed well to get the most delicious tasting smoothie possible. Enjoy!

Prep time

Veggies and fruit packed into one incredible green smoothie!

  • 4 cups chopped honeydew melon, frozen

  • 2 cups coconut water

  • 1 cup canned coconut milk

  • cup fresh mint leaves

  • 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice

  • ½ tsp salt

  • cups peeled, chopped cucumber

  • Place all of the ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.
  • Add some ice if you would like the smoothie a little thicker or add about ½ cup more coconut water to make it thinner.
  • Pour the smoothie into 6 glasses and enjoy while cold.

Tips and Tricks

  • • Be sure to cut and freeze the melon pieces so the smoothie has a nice, frozen texture. Fresh melon will give you more of a juice than a cold smoothie.
    • Leave the peel on the cucumber for a brighter green color
