Electrolytes are minerals that are found in your body that help control and balance your fluids. They also help regulate your blood pressure and muscle functions. They are sure important! But electrolytes can be lost when you work out or start sweating a lot.

They can also be diminished if you are sick or frequenting the bathroom a little too often. They need to be replaced! Paying attention to when you are thirsty is essential.

The best time to have an electrolyte drink is about two hours before any hard, physical activity. You should also try to drink about 6 ounces for every 15 minutes of physical activity. This will keep your electrolytes in check and your body feeling good.

Coconut water and salt both are packed with electrolytes. Coconut water has sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium, all of which are considered electrolytes.

Coconut water is also much healthier than any artificial sports drink. Mixed with some lime juice and a touch of honey and you will want to drink this delicious, healthy beverage every day! And we think you should...
