    Clean Mary Mocktail - Signature Collection

    There is so much flavor in a classic bloody mary that it is a drink many of us often crave. However, you may not want all that alcohol that is also in most bloody mary’s. That is what we created the Clean Mary. The Clean Mary is a non alcoholic version of the bloody Mary. It has all the flavor but none of the toxic ingredients (aka. Vodka).

    What is a Bloody Mary?

    A classic bloody mary is a mixture of tomato juice, vodka and spices. The drink is said to have originated after prohibition ended in the 1920’s. The drink was created at the St.Regis hotel in Manhattan and caught on in popularity. It quickly became a breakfast and brunch staple.

    Since its creation, the bloody mary has taken on many forms. The tomato juice and vodka leave a blank slate for the home bartender to add their own unique touch to the drink. Everyone makes their bloody mary a little differently. You can make your virgin bloody mary however you’d like, too!

    Ingredients in a Virgin Clean Mary Mocktail

    So what exactly makes a bloody mary so flavorful and unique? A lot of things! There are actually lots of ingredients that go into a bloody mary (or a Clean Mary!). Here are a few of the most common ingredients you can add to a bloody mary:

    • Celery salt
    • Hot sauce
    • Olives
    • Celery ribs
    • Lemon or lime wedges
    • Pickles
    • Blue cheese
    • Cheddar cheese cubes
    • Pickled Beans
    • Pickled Garlic
    • Paprika
    • Garlic Powder
    • Bacon
    • Pickled Jalapenos

    As you can see, there is a wide range of ingredients and flavoring you can add to a virgin bloody mary. Each bloody mary recipe will be different and you can definitely add in your favorite bloody mary ingredients to any drink. Some people want extra olive brine while others hate the olives. Some people like extra tabasco sauce while you may also prefer your drink a little more mild.

    Our Clean Mary is the perfect blend of all of those things. A little zesty, a little tangy and a tiny bit sweet. We think it’s just perfect!

    How To Make a Clean Mary

    Our Clean Mary Mocktail starts with tomato juice. Choose a good, high quality tomato juice as this makes up the majority of the drink. Some people like to use clamato juice which is a type of tomato juice made with a splash of clam juice. This adds a briney, subtle fishy taste that you may really enjoy.

    Once you have a great tomato juice ready for your virgin mary drink, the rest of the recipe is easy! All of the bloody mary mocktail ingredients are added to a cocktail shaker and blended together with a few good shakes. The frothy mix is poured into a tall glass rimmed with old bay seasoning. Lemon, lime and a celery stick are added as a garnish and the drink is ready to enjoy.

    Nutritious Bloody Mary Mocktail

    Besides tasting really incredible, bloody mary mocktails are actually pretty healthy. Tomato juice is a very healthy drink. It is packed with vitamin C, vitamin B and potassium. It also has lots of antioxidants which can help you stay healthy. Since our bloody mary drink has no vodka, it is especially good for you. There is no “bad stuff” in our bloody mary recipe!

    Bloody Mary calories are pretty low. In fact, it is often considered a great diet drink. It is very filling, low in calories and has lots of flavors that will curb many different food cravings. While you may be hard pressed to find a keto bloody mary or a low carb bloody mary (tomato juice is very high in carbs), you can freely enjoy a bloody mary mocktail when you are focused on drinking healthy and losing weight.

    Enjoy this Clean Mary during your weekend brunch or make yourself a glass on a special weekday morning. It is a non alcoholic drink that packs a lot of flavor without ever needing a drop of liquor. Enjoy!

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups tomato juice

    • ¼ cup lemon juice

    • ¼ cup lime juice

    • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

    • 1 tsp horseradish

    • 2 tsp olive juice (brine)

    • ½ tsp tabasco sauce

    • ¼ tsp celery salt

    • ⅛ tsp ground black pepper

    • Old Bay Seasoning

    • Lemon wedge

    • Olives

    Directions

    • Place the tomato juice, lemon juice, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, olive brine, tabasco, celery salt and black pepper in a cocktail shaker.
    • Shake the mix together for about 30 seconds to blend well.
    • Run a lemon wedge around the edge of four large glasses then dip the rims in the old bay seasoning.
    • Fill each glass with ice and then pour the clean mary mix into each glass.
    • Garnish with a lemon wedge, celery stick and skewer of olives. Enjoy while chilled!

    Tips and Tricks

    • • Choose whatever garnishes you think will make your drink pretty. Add some mini pickles, blue cheese stuffed olives or even just a simple lime wedge. Get creative but remember the flavors of the drink.
      • Make the clean mary mix in advance and let it chill overnight. This will give the drink an even more cohesive taste.
